Hotel Okura Thermal Resort & SPA, Cappadocia is a luxury hospitality development project located in Mustafapaşa (historically known as Sinasos), one of Cappadocia’s most culturally layered and architecturally preserved settlements. Developed in collaboration with Hotel Okura Co. and Okura Nikko Hotel Management, the project represents the introduction of the Okura brand into Cappadocia and is envisioned as one of the region’s most refined internationally branded luxury hospitality destinations.

The project is being developed through the restoration and adaptive reuse of historically significant stone structures integrated with newly designed hospitality components. Rather than creating a conventional resort, the development aims to preserve the spirit, topography and architectural memory of Mustafapaşa while introducing a contemporary interpretation of Japanese hospitality and timeless luxury.

Located within a unique cultural landscape shaped by centuries of Anatolian, Greek and Ottoman heritage, the project combines heritage preservation, architectural sensitivity and high-end hospitality operations within a single destination. The development includes restored mansions, courtyards, stone structures and newly integrated accommodation units carefully positioned throughout the site in harmony with Cappadocia’s natural terrain.

The architectural approach prioritizes spatial authenticity, natural materials, landscape integration and a low-density guest experience. Significant attention has been given to circulation planning, operational efficiency and the balance between privacy and immersive guest experience across the multi-structure layout.

Okura Hotel Cappadocia is envisioned not only as a hotel, but as a cultural hospitality destination where Japanese omotenashi philosophy meets the historical and emotional atmosphere of Cappadocia. The project aims to create an experience centered around tranquility, craftsmanship, gastronomy, wellness and a deep connection to place.

The development is expected to feature destination-driven gastronomy concepts, wellness facilities, curated cultural experiences, wine and cellar experiences, landscaped courtyards and panoramic gathering spaces integrated into the natural geography of the region.

Positioned within one of the world’s most iconic travel destinations and UNESCO-recognized landscapes, Okura Hotel Cappadocia represents a new generation of heritage-led luxury hospitality development in Turkey.
